TMS Therapy at Timely Psychiatry

At Timely Psychiatry, we understand that depression can take a toll on every aspect of your life—especially when medications and therapy haven’t brought the relief you deserve. That’s why we offer Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), a revolutionary, non-invasive treatment for treatment-resistant depression and other mental health conditions.

Timely Psychiatry

What is TMS Therapy?

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is an FDA-approved, non-drug treatment that uses gentle magnetic pulses to stimulate specific areas of the brain responsible for mood regulation. Unlike medications, TMS targets the root of the issue—neurological activity in the brain—with no systemic side effects and no downtime.

Conditions Treated with TMS

While TMS is primarily used for Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), it has also shown promising results for:

  • Treatment-Resistant Depression

  • Anxiety Disorders

  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

  • Bipolar Depression

Our team at Timely Psychiatry will evaluate your symptoms and history to determine if TMS is the right option for you.

What to Expect During Treatment

Each TMS session is performed in our clinic and lasts about 20 to 40 minutes, with the full course typically consisting of 5 sessions per week for 4 to 6 weeks.

During your session:

You’ll sit comfortably in a chair, fully awake and alert.

A technician places the magnetic coil over your scalp.

You may feel tapping or hear clicking sounds, but the treatment is pain-free.

You can return to your daily activities immediately afterward.
